On human task switches

A blog entry on the topic by Joel Spolsky: Human Task Switches Considered Harmful

Trying to focus on a particular task could be difficult sometimes.  As a student, I was proud to be a multitasker.  However, I think that I shouldn't have been too proud about it.  Seems to me that sometimes, multitasking is detrimental to the projects that are worked on by a person.  For one thing, your attention would be divided.  For another, it could be easy to end up neglecting one. Tsk tsk.  Not a good thought.
